Type 2 diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes is very much reversible, unlike type 1 diabetes especially if you’ve inherited it or have had it since you were a child.

It's pretty obvious why anyone would want to reverse the diabetes, but it's not really such an easy peasy thing to do, you need information, you need to do your research and start being more cautious with what you eat, and why.

You are not alone, sites like this are here to guide and do all that for you, the internet is there to give you all the information, all that is needed is for you to be willing to put work and be consistent .

Reversing diabetes starts with planing your diet and knowing what exactly is good to eat that won’t temper your sugar levels, but instead help regulate your sugar levels.

Breakfast is very very important especially for people who are diabetic. When you are asleep and your body being on that fasting mode, you liver makes its own sugar and delivers it to your blood stream to protect you from and sugar crushes when you’re asleep, this process carries on and on until you break this fast. Its important to break this fast because firstly, you down want your liver delivering too much sugar into your blood stream and secondly your body needs energy.

How does eating break fast helping Type 2 Diabetes?

  1. Break fast helps you to maintain your blood sugars during the day.
  2. With eating a balanced breakfast meal, you tent to eat less calories during the day.
  3. Helps with lowering your cravings during the day.
  4. Helps with appetite regulations during the day.

Diet plan to reverse type 2 diabetes

I am very stricked when it comes to suggesting the consumption of carbohydrates to diabetes patients.

The best type of carbohydrates to always choose is the one that has fibre and takes time to break down and digest. Always make sure to not only eat carbohydrates as a single meal alone and include some good fats and proteins so that you don’t get hungry too quickly and prevent the carbohydrate from turning into sugar quickly in your blood stream (This is what makes me stricked and very cautious) And that is because our aim is to not lift sugar levels, but keep them balanced as possible.

Diet plan:

Do’s

Don’t

Carbohydrates

Oatmeal and quinoa, Non-starchy vegetables, Nut and Nut butter

Corn flakes, puffed cereals,  starchy vegetables

Protein

Salmon, black beans, fish, eggs, greek yoghurt.

Processed meats, too much dairy products

Fat

Olive, fish, avocado oil,

Processed foods, Lard, chicken skin,

Drinks

Water, grape juice, Tea with honey or natural sweetener

Cool drinks, Coffee, energy drinks

This diet plan also promotes  good cholesterol levels which is a huge advantage for lowering chances of cardiovascular diseases in the near future.

Always make sure that your diet is balanced, and that means also balancing the amount of proteins and fats and going low on carbohydrates ALWAYS.
